About the Artwork – As an art and culture practitioner and a literature and gender studies graduate, the artist has a penchant for studying the intersections between the four. Inspired by feminist artists such as Tracey Emin and Louise Bourgeois, the artist seeks to express feminine desires, ideals, and issues through her figurative and abstract works. In failing to ascribe faces to the women she paints, she wishes to represent ‘everywoman’ and the artefacts of womanhood.
